Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is a plant with countless applications. There is archaeological evidence that its daisy-like flowers were used once dried to make soothing teas by the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. Its blanket of small white flowers will always be full of life thanks to bees and hoverflies. It may look fragile, but chamomile is actually hardy. It comes back stronger when it is mistreated, so you can plant it on busy roads.
